The expression ‘an old soul in a young body’ has been attached to Anja Plaschg, aka Soap&Skin, more than once and as she releases her new mini-album, Narrow, entirely self-played and produced, she again sounds wise beyond her years. The teenage wunderkind whose 2009 debut album Lovetune for Vacuum charted across Europe attempted to look twice her age in the cover portrait, and if she didn’t quite pull it off she certainly made a convincing widow in weeds.
But since her initial success Plaschg has come to know real sadness, not just its verisimilitude. Her father died suddenly of a stroke in July 2009 and her response, the traumatic, cathartic wail ‘Vater’, is as openly emotional and intense as pop music gets, an outpouring of genuine pain in the face of death. The vocals are unsettling and eerie, while the piano-led arrangement, owing more to modern classical than run of the mill singer-songwriters, slips into appropriately dissonant and discomfiting areas. Though sung in German the emotions expressed are identifiably beyond language. Yet even this harrowing love song to a dead parent concludes with a moment of levity, a clipped note that echoes and mocks the ‘everlasting chord’ that concluded the Beatles’ ‘A Day In The Life’. It’s strangely intimate, like a little window into their relationship.
A touching and rigorously purified cover of "Voyage Voyage", a global Europop smash back in the eighties for the curiously named (and coiffed) chanteuse Desireless, follows. Soap&Skin takes what was once a melancholic example of French disko and turns it eastward, its wistfulness now turned into mittel-European gloom. Though it was a hit here untranslated, British audiences are largely unaware of just how familiar the song is in Europe, the stuff of drunken singalongs at chucking out time. Plaschg’s version makes Susanna and the Magic Orchestra’s stark reworkings of hard rock classics sound like hard rock, so bleak is it. It suits her.
‘Deathmental’, with its crashing programmed stabs and gothic lyrical imagery, offers a few minutes of genuine sonic violence. The deceptively slight lullaby "Cradlesong" might lure the listener in with its wonderfully lulling melody, yet its lyrics proffer a distressingly sleepless night. The first single ‘Wonder’ is an easier way into Plaschg’s world, a stark ballad carried by unearthly multi-tracked harmonies and a beautiful string arrangement. Next to it the gentle, brief ‘Lost’ suffers stoically while the stately, elegant ‘Boat Turns Toward The Port’, built round a loop of what sounds like an old typewriter (or perhaps a shop till), is over before a listener can decode it, otherworldly and tantalizingly out of reach. The orchestral force of the harried farewell aria ‘Big Hand Nails Down’, both intimate and expansive, cries out for a widescreen grand finale, a close-up twenty feet wide.
Still only twenty one, Plaschg still retains the fearlessness of youth, and if Narrow is more vulnerable than her debut then it’s proof that self-doubt comes with experience. The young Austrian remains a talent to be mentioned alongside Kate Bush and fellow farm girl Polly Jean Harvey.

The video was filmed in New York's Bronx district on a rare day off during the band's six week North American tour. 'Arguing With Thermometers' will receive its debut radio airing this Thursday - 5th Jan - from Zane Lowe who stands in for Chris Moyles on BBC Radio One's Breakfast Show this week. Ladies from The Business Womans Network (BWN) took time out of their busy schedules to volunteer as models at Essex Life magazine’s fashion shoot at the Waltham Abbey Marriot Hotel.

After Mandie Holgate, founder of the BWN, organised for 26 business women to pose nude for a 2012 charity calendar for Farleigh Hospice, Essex Life asked if they would like to be featured in their January issue. The shoot featured business attire from quadrant, the Chelmsford department store, a stark contrast to the last time these ladies had been in front of the camera.

Hair and make-up artists Sophie Murray and Victoria Poland, did a fantastic job enhancing the ladies natural beauty and giving them a look to impress in the boardroom.

Susan Pattrick, a disability specialist and director of SMP Consultancy was up first, in a gorgeous Elvi turquoise blouse and navy suit trousers, finished off with a green printed scarf.

Next was Mandie Holgate, who sported a fashionable black and white printed wrap dress by Planet, and oversized black patent bag by Jane Shilton, one which she hinted at wanting to keep.

Tina Walker, founder of Liberty! VA Services, looked stunning in a black Eastex jacket with camel piping and beige skirt assemble, with a pair of Barlette shoes by Jane Shilton.

Julie Binder, graphic and web designer and also founder of jbinderdesign, looked elegant in a striking purple dress and matching jacket, accessorised with a Jane Shilton bag and shoes.

Claire Jakes, a director of Pampered Chef and also a nursing supervisor assistant for newborns, brightened the day with a deep pink jacket and suit trousers, teamed with a printed floral top.

Finally, Karen Broughton, a franchise owner of theSouth Essexbranch of Enchanted Childcare Nanny Agency, looked very sophisticated in a matching black and white dogtooth jacket and skirt, worn with a chunky black beaded necklace.

The infamous NME Awards Tour is back for 2012 and ready to showcase the year’s most exciting emerging music talent. Hailing from the tiny, bohemian market town of Totnes in Devon, Metronomy join the line-up this year. One of the most expansive and visionary pop bands in the country, Metronomy will be supplying the NME Awards Tour with proof that it’s possible for electronic bands to put on a show as authentic as any rock band.

Metronomy say: "It's pretty exciting to be part of a travelling tour, a bit like a circus or something. It's been a while since we did a tour this long with the same bands for the whole thing, so hopefully there will be some camaraderie between the bands. Failing that there should be some incredibly violent 'beefs' which will make for good reading in the magazine."

NME editor Krissi Murison says: “As far as NME Awards Tour line-ups go, it’s difficult to imagine one more exciting than this or more representative of the cutting edge sounds that will define 2012. Every week in NME we bang on about how brilliant these bands are, and this is an amazing opportunity to see them all on the same bill. Two Door Cinema Club owned the summer, Metronomy recorded arguably the album of the year, Tribes are the future of British indie music and Azealia Banks is, well, pretty much the most exciting new act on the planet. The cocky wannabe star has finally been removed from the XFactor show after breaking a 'golden rule', however it hasn't been revealed as of yet what exactly has happened.

After all the controversy from Sunday's night show, Frankie escaped the bottom two yet again, after a flat performance and saw The Risk and Johnny Robinson go.

This afternoon, a statement was released, with Frankie saying: 'I’d like to apologise to Gary, my fellow contestants and everyone who has voted for me, but, as of today, I will no longer be in The X Factor.

'My life during the show has gone out of control and my behaviour off stage has over-stepped the rules of the competition.
'I no longer deserve my place in the show, so I am therefore leaving. I would like to thank everyone who has supported me.'

Fleetwood Mac Songs EP by The Salt Flats

The Salt Flats are proud to announce their second EP, which is due for release on October 17th 2011. A collection of four beautifully crafted Fleetwood Mac songs pieced together with vocal harmonies to die for. The Salt Flats say; “When we started to think about songs for a new EP, some more unusual candidates started to appear on the shortlist. So whilst recording some demos we thought it could be interesting to work on several by the same artist, trying slightly different approaches with each song. We'd already tried a Fleetwood Mac song, originally sung by Lindsey Buckingham, but we realized that the combination of Katie and Cara's vocals would be a good starting point for trying more”.

So from there we experimented with some of the lighter songs and sounds. The drum machines and Omnichords worked with the simplicity of songs like "Never Going Back Again" and the drones of the Harmonium, Eastern Reed Instruments and a few changes in rhythm took songs like Big Love in slightly different direction.”

Andy Burrows (I Am Arrows/ ex Razorlight) and Tom Smith (Editors) announce a joint collaboration project Smith and Burrows. The duo are pleased to reveal their Christmas album ‘Funny Looking Angels’ will be released on 28th November 2011- it features guest vocals from a variety of musical friends including rising Danish star Agnes Obel. It also includes an eclectic range of cover versions from Yazoo’s ‘Only You’ and Black’s ‘Wonderful Life’ (which they performed together some years previously) to The Longpigs ‘On and On’ and cult Birmingham band Delta’s ‘Funny Looking Angels’, which also gave them their album title and is an affectionate nod from Tom to his formative musical years in the city.

General Fiasco - Waves by Dirty Hit

Northern Ireland’s GENERAL FIASCO return with a brand new EP set for release this autumn and dates in late October. The band released their debut album ‘Buildings’ in March 2010 and have consistently toured including playing festivals all over Europe, ending this summer with a headline appearance at Reading and Leeds Festival on the BBC Introducing Stage where they played the coveted returners slot.

They headed straight back into the studio to start work on the follow up and the first release from this session will be the ‘Waves’ EP released on 14th November 2011 for new label ‘Dirty Hit’. One track from the EP ‘The Age You Start Losing Friends’ has already caught the attention of Radio 1’s Huw Stephens (sitting in for Zane Lowe) who instantly made it his ‘Hottest Record In The World’.

The band, from Bellaghy, Co.Derry, General Fiasco are Owen Strathern on bass, brother Enda on guitar, Stephen Leacock on drums and new guitarist / keyboard player Stuart Bell.

Arthur Maderson, whose credits include winning the Anne Berry Award and the Cornellisen Award, is increasingly recognised as being a leading exponent of contemporary Impressionism. Recognising his roots that reach out beyond Monet to the Book of Kells and Gothic stained glass, in this sense his aims are those of Cezanne, which is to convert our experience of momentary sensations into something lasting, thoughtful and timeless.

Maderson is a previous exhibitor of both the Royal Academy and the Royal West of England Academy.

G - Technology's "Driven Creativity" exhibition features winning entries from The Competition For Driven Creatives including work from filmmakers, photographers and musicians from all over Europe. Unlike other creative competitions, work was judged not just for aesthetic qualities but also for the invention and drive that went into creating it. The late nights, harsh environments and obstacles that artists overcame to produce remarkable results.

This exhibition will feature at The Strand Gallery, Janine Bean Gallery in Berlin and Ofr in Paris with one overall winner to be announced.

After all the controversy from the Human Centipede, it is back once again, but even more explicit then the first, if that is at all possible. The film, which won’t be released in the UK, but has remarkably managed to get past the US equivalent of the British Board of Classification.

The reason for the ban: “The principal focus of The Human Centipede II (Full Sequence) is the sexual arousal of the central character at both the idea and the spectacle of the total degradation, humiliation, mutilation, torture, and murder of his naked victims. Examples of this include a scene early in the film in which he masturbates whilst he watches a DVD of the original Human Centipede film, with sandpaper wrapped around his penis."

PART 1

Nneka's new album 'Soul Is Heavy' has been work in progress for the past few years, written while on the road touring and in the studio, recording with her band. Described by The Times as “one of the best soul singers to emerge in the past few years” The Times, the Grammy & Mobo award winning singer-songwriter will be releasing her new album this October.

Since the release of her last record she has played over 150 shows performing to over 500,00 people and to support the release of the new album she will be embarking on a 34-date headline tour of Europe. The Bugged Out Weekender is staged on the South Coast at Butlins Resort in Bognor Regis, West Sussex.

Bugged Out are now in its 17th year making it one of the UK’s longest running club nights. Bugged Out boasted LFO at their first night back in November 1994 and since then they’ve had everyone from Daft Punk, Green Velvet, The Chemical Brothers, Richie Hawtin, Tiga, Boys Noize and Carl Craig play at their nights.

As well as running club nights in the UK and Europe, Bugged Out has become a major part of London’s Field Day festival and has also released acclaimed compilations by Erol Alkan, Damian Lazarus, Ivan Smagghe, Miss Kittin, Simian Mobile Disco, Klaxons, Hot Chip, Boys Noize & Brodinski.

The Bugged Out Weekender promises to reflect the clubs history and future with a programme consisting of all the best in techno, acid house and bass music. Relatively new acts and collectives like Joy Orbison and Night Slugs will feature on the same bill as globally huge DJs like Diplo and Chase & Status and Bugged Out legends like techno founders Green Velvet and Kevin Saunderson. The dance scene is pushing the boundaries like no other genre of late and the weekender will reflect and capture this.

The club partners so far confirmed for the weekend are the mighty Union who run club nights all over the UK, have hosted huge events at London’s Fabric and been present at all the big dance festivals in 2011 culminating at their biggest event yet at Brixton Academy this October; the Guardian nailed London’s Night Slugs when they called them “the indefinable dance music team” such is their love of cross pollinating genres, headed up by Bok Bok and L-Vis 1990 they’ll be joining up with Glasgow’s Numbers gang who have also been responsible for some of the best music released in recent years from the likes of Hudson Mohawke, SBTRKT and Rustie. We’ve given the keys to the pub to London’s best bar Dalston Superstore who will be bringing Horse Meat Disco’s Severino and Batty Bass’s Hannah Holland along to pull the pints.

Giving a taste of what can be expected from the Bugged Out Weekender, Bugged Out will host a series of London club nights ‘Road to the Weekender’ throughout October and November 2011.

Friday 2nd September saw the arrival once again of Come Together at Space, where it is predominately known for uniting sounds and bringing people together from across the globe. The night is held in the centre of Playa d’en Bossa, Ibiza Town, where all the real ‘party people’ stay. The legendary venue offers you the real clubbing experience, mind blowing nights, on trend acts and world class DJs.

Overwhelmingly offering you six different areas in the club, which can guarantee to fulfill your musical taste in some way or the other, (however it is a shame their drink prices don’t do the same).

The main room otherwise known as Discoteca, continuously kept the crowd on their feet, leaving little space at times to move but it didn’t seem to faze anyone, especially when Tinie Tempah entered the stage. Being a fan or not, he really entertained the crowd with his commercial hits and the vibe around the venue was buzzing. Despite the intense heat everyone was infatuated by him.

It was clear people were happy to stay in one position which is a shame considering there were some other impressive DJs around doing their thing. Such as one part of Faze Action duo, Simon Lee in the Red Box room, which theme of the night was future disco. He kept his intimate crowd dancing away to his disco funk beats and no one seemed tireless. He played appropriate music for the Ibiza soul goers and ideally he would of really been appreciated downstairs.

Other acts of the night concluded of Nero, Pendulum (El Hornet DJ Set) inside the main room. The Sunset Terrace saw Push Push presents Elio Riso and Friends. With Jaguar Skills immediately coming on after Tinie Tempah so the crowd didn’t become restless.

A highlight for many I’m sure was witnessing the low flying planes while drinking cocktails on the terrance. It was a surreal moment which I hope I can capture again, one day.

To coincide with the band's first full Europe, UK & Ireland tour since Autumn 2009, 19th SEPTEMBER will bring the unveiling of Enter Shikari's new single 'SNAKEPIT', in advance of their as-yet-untitled 3rd album (due early 2012).

'Snakepit is the first fruit of the band's May 2011 recording sessions with producer Dan Weller (Sixth, Young Guns) in Bang Saray,Thailand.
The track was mixed by Mike Fraser (AC/DC, Biffy Clyro, Metallica) in Vancouver, Canada.

A video for 'Snakepit' was filmed in glamorous North London this past weekend, and should be available for your viewing pleasure shortly.

More news will be forthcoming on all manner of other matters very soon. Not least that darned elusive album title.

New Manchester based six piece FOLKS have released a free download of a track called ‘Avalanche’ and start their own headlining UK tour this week before they go on tour with Miles Kane in October and support Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds at the Roundhouse in London in October. The band will also appear on Radio 2 this weekend (Saturday 10th September) when Noel takes over Dermot O’Leary’s show between 3pm – 6pm and will perform two songs.

Bringing together classic song writing with emotive vocals and irresistible melodies, Folks make music to be listened to and enjoyed over and over. The band were formed when guitarist and writer Michael Beasley hooked up with vocalist Scott Anderson, and they relocated to the US to record what would end up being their debut album, to be released early 2012. On their return the duo pulled together a full band (Thom Fripp – lead guitar, Harry Gumery – bass, Wil Akroyd - keyboards and Elliot Barlow –drums) which ensured this group could also let rip live. They kept themselves busy in a rehearsal studio, out of the way, letting the tunes evolve into another side of Folks – one with absolute precision playing and amazing stage energy.

String-laden and galloping, the track is the sound of Beth Jeans Houghton & The Hooves Of Destiny marching into action. “I put a saddle on each of the guys and rode them around the studio until we got a take without their screams on it.”

Before the release, Beth and band will be heading out on tour in September and October, bringing her intimate and often unpredictable performances to towns and cities around the UK.

“The tour should be a lot of fun,” says Beth. “I feel no happier than when I'm on the road and sharing scraps of food with the guys. You can expect a hell of a lot of new songs and oversized T-shirts.”

Following the widespread praise for Michael Kiwanuka’s debut EP, May’s ‘Tell Me A Tale’, The ‘I’m Getting Ready’ EP presents three more songs that continue to justify the early acclaim and will add to the 23 year-old’s burgeoning reputation as a unique new British voice.

Kiwanuka is a singer and songwriter with such a genuine raw talent that this early acclaim is only natural. His headline gigs have all sold-out, he’s toured both the UK and Europe with Adele, and already received many offers from well-established, acclaimed artists to work with him on new material.

Originally lacking the confidence to sing his own songs, it was upon the discovery of Bob Dylan and Otis Redding, particularly their phrasing, that spoke to Michael above and beyond anything else he’d previously heard. It led him to the back catalogues of Bill Withers, Terry Callier and more recently Laura Marling, and his own work followed soon afterwards.

His song repertoire and confidence grew as his MySpace following built, and Paul Butler from The Bees invited him down to the band’s Isle of Wight studios to lay down the foundations for these introductory EPs of rootsy, folk-inflected modern soul. ‘Paul is definitely on the same wavelength as I am when it comes to musical ideas, and I love spending time building these songs in the studio with him. It’s become a kind of perfect alliance’, Michael recently commented.

Written and performed by Michael Kiwanuka, produced by Paul Butler and featuring an assortment of Isle of Wight musicians, as well as of course Michael on acoustic guitar, 'I’m Getting Ready', 'I Need You By My Side', and 'Any Day Will Do Fine' are songs that develop upon his debut EP, and presents a young songwriter with both a real ear for beautifully affecting music, and a vocal that has the potential to become a timeless entity in its own right.

Florence and The Machine-What The Water Gave Me

Yes she is finally back... After nearly a year away from the scene, she has returned to us with this miraculous tune, which has already had me reaching for the repeat button. The six minute track is even more adventurous and her sound has surely matured, which is hard to believe as her debut album ‘Lungs’ was so highly successful.

The beats have a more edgier effect and a deeper tone then we have ever heard before from Miss Welch. Still being loyal to the harp which has it’s well deserved part in this track and has a major influence, I believe towards the lyrics.

Still showing us what Florence is all about with those high notes that guarantees to raise the hairs on the back of your neck. She has stepped away from her bad love interests and mishaps and moved onto another chapter in her life.

If I am honest there was part of me that didn’t think she would be able to achieve the same creditability in her song writing but she has surely proved me wrong.

HYPER JAPAN

After queuing for over two and a half hours and seeing no end to the overwhelming line my patience was wearing thin and there was a point I just wanted to give up and go home. Nevertheless I had been looking forward to this event for months so my expectations were high and really wasn't in the mood for anymore disappointment at this stage.

The organisation of the event was embarrassing and I was disgusted there was no answers how long we had to wait for. Selling extra tickets to Groupon was a big mistake for them as the number sold was way over the amount of people they could hold at the Olympia.

When we finally got in, I found myself hovering around the Sake Discovery stall with amazing summer cocktails you have never heard of before. My favourite had to be the potato and Sake. Yumm......

There were some stalls that caught my eye like Shake-up Make-up who re-create beautiful make-up designs inspired by Japanese culture, from geishas to Harajuku girls. They looked incredible.

I also had an manga drawing of my boyfriend and I.

A hands on sushi class was available, it involved a 30 minute hands-on sushi roll class by chef Atsuko Ikeda, who specialises in authentic and healthy Japanese cuisine.

Japan crafts was very much the main attraction for most of the day, especially with the young children. It offered Silk Painting, Temari, Kimekomi, Origami, Sashiko, Shibori, Needle Felting (OK so not very Japanese but tremendous fun!), Furoshiki, Kumihimo, Kanzashi.

Overall the event was average as I was expecting more different types of Japanese cuisines and variations of sushi. Instead we just had the basic samples from YO Sushi and stir fry noodles. Not for me.

However let's hope this is a lesson learned HYPER JAPAN and here are some other pictures from the event.

HAS VINTAGE LOST IT'S TOUCH

I arrived at my destination, which can only be described as some sort of private estate of four storey flats scattered in the centre of Stratford. I pressed the buzzer anxiously and was answered with an uneasy yet excitable voice who sounded eager to get things under way it seemed. I walked heavily up a couple of flights of stairs where I was greeted by a tall stylish brunette, hair pinned back neatly with scarf holding the rest of the hair together. An old Cramps t-shirt with short denim shorts with black tights with seam, she was a natural beauty and you can see from her conscious body language she wasn’t aware of this. She warmed me with a quick friendly hug and ushered me in through to the living room.

Kirstie’s work was scattered all over the floor with drawings and loose bits of materials everywhere and this seemed to have put her on edge “ Sorry about the mess, I have deadlines in the next couple of weeks and have just finished my internship with Omar Kashoura for London Fashion Week, so I am a bit behind.”

To me it looked like an artist at work, but I sat down on the singular chair, basically the only free piece of furniture in the room and helped myself to the readymade coffee and chocolate fingers. Kirstie took a sip of her coffee in delight it appeared a weight had been lifted of her shoulders by me being here as it was good distraction for her to get away from her work.
Kirstie didn’t waste any time in telling me that the vintage name has been damaged over the last couple of years and how the term has turned into a cliché. “People wanted to spend money on one of a kind piece, it was something that was nice and all the trendy kids wore it and it would be classed as different. But now people who shop in ‘TopShop’ for example think they can go to the vintage section and be completely different to anyone else.”

Kirstie goes further to admit it annoys her at times as certain trends have been destroyed and everything has become so expensive; Kirstie seemed to show an inkling of disappointment “1950’s has been killed, slightly ruined.”

In her first year at University of East London studying fashion design, Kirstie is a girl who really knows what she wants. Only 20 she has completed a foundation year and has worked with the likes of Luella, Country Casuals and of course Omar Kashoura. You can see the determination coming across from the way she talks and her knowledge is endless on the subject. She mentioned she would like to use these skills by doing her Masters in the future, but doesn’t see herself setting out on her own just yet.

“ I would like to do my Masters in men’s wear and after this I would like to work for a brand initially as it is impossible to work on your own successfully. You need to work for a company or alongside a designer with big responsibilities before you set out on your own, but if I fell in love with the company, I would probably stay longer before pursuing my own brand.”
You could see she struggled in describing her style icon, dazing into space at one point with a hesitant pause, I began to feel she might of not heard my question properly. “ I used to look at Madonna a lot – Desperately Seeking Susan, three years ago I was really into Betty Page, 50s style, but as for now, I don’t really have one. But I have a friend at the moment who is doing men’s wear in Paris for Givenchy as she is really influential.”

Kirstie typical style at the moment would be described as late 80s early 90s casual wear but her favourite piece of clothing is coats she said, “ I have a lovely fur coat that was my mum’s back in the day, it’s a trench swing coat with leopard print collars and cuffs.

Revealing she is particularly fond of her Stelf 80s jeans, even though the button has nearly ripped off and the zip is broken. Kirstie still brings out her first purchase of vintage clothing, a knitted rose jumper which has made it through many winters.

She revealed her secrets and tips on how to get the best deals on vintage clothing these days, “EBay is the place to go to get things cheap and the most expensive thing I brought is a sailors trunk for only £60.”

All depending on what her mood is Kirstie fashion style can be any look however something that never changes is her love for vintage jewellery. Being her most treasured possessions, from second hand stalls to family air looms, Kirstie is always seen in her trinkets. But her obsession of 45 head scarf’s that hardly get worn anymore has got a bit out of control.

Being so unaware of her trendsetter looks, she is first to admit her disastrous outfits. “I have a cringe when I look back at myself, my ‘emo ages’, wearing hair extensions down to my waist and heavy eyeliner, overly sewn jeans with saggy crotch and urgh something left in the past.”

Selected and produced by Rough Trade Shops, we bring you a lovingly compiled 22-track CD exclusively featuring artists playing at Green Man 2011, aiming to sonically distil the festivals ninth annual summer shindig into one lovely listen. What better way to bring back the memories from a hazy, lazy, crazy weekend in the comfort of your own home – or maybe conjure up that special Green Man atmosphere?

The CD will feature brilliant songs by Green Man 2011 headliners Fleet Foxes, Iron & Wine and Explosions In The Sky, as well as recent tracks by Josh T Pearson, The Low Anthem, Gruff Rhys, Holy Fuck and Squarepusher. There’s a generous helping of US lo-fi and folk from Sic Alps, Suuns, Lia Ices and The Cave Singers, a Breeders-esque offering from She Keeps Bees and an excellent crop of European singer/songwriters including Treecreeper, James Yorkston, Hannah Peel, and Our Broken Garden.

Camden’s own Nutty Boys, the legendary Madness, are taking over Butlins Minehead this November, curating a sensational line-up of bands, DJs and comedians. Handpicked by the magnificent seven themselves, the House of Fun Weekender will showcase the hottest up-and-coming acts, alongside old favourites across three-days of festival fun by the sea.
