Band Alert- Hatcham Social

Who is Hatcham Social for people who don't know you already?
We are an underground guitar pop combo who write their own songs.

Haven't seen much from you guys this summer, what have you been up too?

We are currently writing our second full length album. There is a taste of the new songs on the Fierce Panda Gruff Trade EP.

I see you have a debut album out now, share some more details please?

The album is called 'You Dig The Tunnel, I'll Hide The Soil'. Released on cool indie legends Fierce Panda. Mainly played live in a studio up north under the production supervision of Tim Burgess. Faris Badwan also lent a hand on a song. Its an album about making your own world. The artwork is worth a mention, its a wonderful painting based upon the Death Mask by Francis Bacon, illustrating the awakening into a new world and the death of your old self. It was painted by the artist Nicola Probert.

What can we expect from Hatcham Social in the next couple of months?

We will be playing a couple of intimate shows, showing off and trying out our new songs.

Biggest highlight of your career so far and where do you want to see yourselves in the future?

Highlight was making the first album and the people we have met along the way. We will be doing more.

Who influenced you as a band and anyone who is tickling your fancy at the moment?

Who cares. The people we meet, the T.V, the books in the library. What's important is that we create something that coveys its intention and heart and that we don't just show off our sound library and technical dexterity to raise awareness of our impeccable taste. Although it is impeccable.

Anything else you would like to add they we need to know?

The next album is going to be something very special. Its going to prove that we should be the biggest band in the country
